Timing Jumps on Moving Blocks
Bean's Platform Leap asks players to coordinate each jump with the movement of sliding blocks. Platforms do not all move at the same speed, so the core challenge is reading each block's pace and jumping at the right moment. The goal is simple: climb as high as you can without falling. That loop is easy to understand but has enough nuance to stay interesting across repeated attempts.
Platform Variety and Rising Difficulty
Platforms behave differently from one another. Some slide horizontally, others move vertically, and a few vanish after being used. This mix keeps the climb from feeling repetitive. As players go higher, platforms move faster and gaps between them get tighter, so the difficulty rises gradually. Newcomers can still make progress, while experienced players get a stiffer test near the top.
Short Runs and Unlockable Style
Rounds are brief, usually lasting only a few minutes, which suits short breaks or commutes. There is no fixed endpoint, so the incentive is to beat your previous height. Controls are simple enough that new players can start immediately. Higher scores earn in-game currency for unlocking costumes and backgrounds. The main character can wear different outfits and hats, and these cosmetics do not change gameplay. Bright, colorful backgrounds shift as you climb, and the animations match the lighthearted tone.
