Game Introduction:
Elemental Showdown is a dynamic turn-based strategy game where you control one elemental magician to overcome the opponent in an arena-based combat style. The goal is to push the opponent out of the arena or deplete their health. As each round progresses, you gain more power and can cast several stronger spells, but your opponent also becomes more powerful. You must plan a balanced and powerful strategy to stay in the arena and take down the opponent before they take you down. This alpha version was created for the capstone project of the Game Design and Development specialization from Michigan State University at Coursera. It is still in development and may be completed for 2017. The alpha is uploaded to get playtesting feedback, and it lacks many features like online PvP and 1P campaign. The game is in active development, and all feedback is welcomed.
How to Play:
Click on the spell cards to select a spell. Use number keys 1 through 6 to cast spells. Press 0 for extra energy. Press the space bar to end your turn. Press H to hide or show spells. Use arrow keys and M to move. Select direction with arrow keys, cancel direction with Esc, and access the menu with Esc. Plan your moves wisely to manage energy and cast spells effectively.
